Associated Artists Names Rodd Wm Stowell as new SPORT Magazine Radio Network Editor in Chief

CALIFORNIA CITY, Calif. - Feb. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- National sports talk host Rodd Wm Stowell has taken over the reins as the editor-in chief of SPORT Magazine Radio Network. The radio version of the popular magazine brings sports to life, not just the headlines, but every angle of what we can't get enough of, sports.

   Rodd was the original morning show host, along with his wife Rachel on the Sports Entertainment Network, starting with just 3 affiliates in 1991, and within 3 years increased to more than 400 stations across the country, and eventually becoming  Sporting News Radio Network.

   Mr. Stowell also acted as program director for the network and found such network superstars as Scott Farrell (Farrell on the Bench), Mike Tenay( play-by-play announcer for Impact Wrestling), Sirius Sports announcerTony Desiere, Fox Sports announcer Arnie Spanier, NFL Networks's Zig Fracassi and Craig Carton of Boomer and Carton fame.

   Rodd is a lifetime sportsfan, and played baseball and hockey through college. "It's not the sport, its the competition, anytime two individuals or teams meet to prove who's best, I'll watch." I loved it all, and when you get to meet the people you love to watch it's special. "That's my job, is for you to know the peaks and valleys, the victories and the loses. Just think what it must feel like to be Russell Wilson and throw that interception, how many nightmares do you think followed."

   Twenty years ago, three issues brought sports talk to the fore-front of radio, Mike Tyson's rape arrest, Magic Johnson's aids, and O.J.Simpson's murder trial. It brought young and old, male and female to the sports page before any other part of the newspaper.

  " We will bring you celebrities in every genre. In the spotlight and behind the scenes, the guys who make the rules and the guys who break them," said Stowell. " Everyone of them has a story. In the 60's TV series the closing line was 'There are six million stories in the Naked City, and this was just one of them.' We'll bring you one of them on every show. We hope some of the time, you'll start listening saying "What do I care about that" and leave saying "I want to know more."
