Evan Guthrie Law Firm Helps For High School Mock Trial Regional Competition In Charleston, SC

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Feb. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina  participated in an exciting day. Saturday February 22nd, 2014, marked a great opportunity for High School students of the Charleston, SC area. The South Carolina Bar High School Mock Trial Competition (Low country Regional Competition in North Charleston) took place on this day. Involving High School students from Charleston’s surrounding areas, the day was full of mock trial cases to be heard. Attorney Guthrie, alongside with other South Carolina Lawyers and Judges, volunteered to score the participating students on their courtroom performances.

The event presented a great opportunity for any student interested in the field, and for those who wanted to see what some aspects of the legal career could potentially involve. Receiving reports to study, a case to be examined and guidelines to look over, the students took advantage of the days leading up to the event in order to equip themselves for their mock trial. When the day came for the event to commence, the students rushed in with a mixture of fear and excitement. The day was enjoyed by all, and served as a wonderful hands on learning experience for the students. Attorney Guthrie greatly enjoys volunteering in mock trials and working with students, as a means of giving back. With the day coming to an end, Attorney Guthrie thanks all of the competing students for such a great day.
