The North Hollywood International Film Festival is a 501c(3) nonprofit arts organization founded by Nicholas Goodman and Hortencia Goodman.

"I have traveled the world attending dozens of film festivals and have seen what works and what doesn't," said Nicholas Goodman, a producer for the Golden Globe Awards, award-winning filmmaker and co-founder of NHIFF. "The North Hollywood International Film Festival is going to be a filmmaker-friendly place to premiere new work in the movie making capital of the world."

Prior to the 2016 festival, NHIFF will host a free summer movie series featuring popular films for the community to enjoy in public spaces throughout North Hollywood this summer. More information coming soon.

Partnering with the Goodmans is Terrell Sandefur, former president of the Macon Film Festival in Macon, Ga., who has been named Festival Director of NHIFF.

"We couldn't be more excited to join forces with someone who has the knowledge and experience that Terrell has to be the public face of this film festival," said festival co-founder Hortencia Goodman. "In his ten years running the Macon Film Festival, Terrell turned that regional event into one of MovieMaker Magazine's "Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals."

Sandefur said, "I'm excited and inspired all at the same time to have an opportunity to build a new film festival in the heart and home of the film industry."
