WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Jan. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Couples who wish to be married in the state of Florida have the option of waiting three days to obtain a marriage license or they can use the Florida premarital education course offered by a registered and approved provider in the county in which they are seeking the license. Matthew Brickman, family mediator and founder of iMediate Inc., recently addressed major concerns with this process.

In a telephone interview he made the statement, “Where it (the standard course) falls short is that they are downloading a PDF file. There’s nobody to take them through it so there’s no real accountability. There’s no real substance to it.”

He provided a full explanation in the following video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gErQOQzZtJU

Mr. Brickman, who offers his own premarital education course, went on to say, “By taking my premarital education course what they’re doing in about two hours is that we’re going through the actual mediation agreement which deals with how they would divide up their assets, debt, marital home and child-related financial issues in the case of a divorce.”

Matthew Brickman believes one of the most important issues to be addressed in a marriage is parental responsibilities and in the case of a divorce, timesharing. He emphasizes that the term child custody is no longer used and replaced by the more politically correct term timesharing because the only people who get taken into custody are criminals.

An innovator in the field of mediation with his online mediation platform, Matthew Brickman has now opened his platform to same sex mediation with new laws passed in the state of Florida regarding same sex marriage.
