AspiredSteps Announces Kickstarter Campaign

OAKLAND, Calif. - Jan. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- AspiredSteps announced the official launch of their crowdfunding campaign today on popular crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. With a goal of raising $10,000, AspiredSteps hopes that the community of pledgers would follow the campaign process to allow the startup to continually improve their mobile-first learning platform.

Founded in September of 2014, AspiredSteps wants to be a force to be reckoned with in the industry of DIY Culture and the Maker Movement. The Maker movement consists of DIY, how-to, and life hack enthusiasts from all walks of life, and there are over 135 million of them in the United States alone. The minds behind AspiredSteps discovered one huge problem for Makers: they don’t have a mobile platform to discover, share, and connect with other makers to improve their projects.  AspiredSteps has the solution to consolidate knowledge, experience and useful information into one accessible applications, according to Zen Cachola, founder and CEO of AspiredSteps:

The app itself is simple. Users post their projects in a step-by-step format, including any tools needed to accomplish the task, and other users can add the projects to their profile to complete. When users purchase the tools needed, the contributor of the project will earn a money.  Effectively, AspiredSteps turns Makers and the DIY community into small business owners who are finally awarded the funds needed to fuel their passions.

AspiredSteps is currently working with hundreds of makers, vendors and suppliers and have over 2000 products uploaded within their platform.  The money raised through their Kickstarter campaign will be used towards the continuing improvement of their current iOS platform and the development of the Android implementation for their global launch.
