Inaugural Metro 10-Mile Running Event: Buffalo Versus Rochester in Orleans County NY

Jan. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Albion NY –The Albion Running Club  will present the first of its kind running event that pits two metropolitan areas against each other, taking place at in Albion NY on Saturday August 22, 2015 and featuring an after party that will showcase the sounds and smells of Buffalo and Rochester.

The Albion Running Club’s Executive Director announced preliminary details of the event at a press conference held in Albion today. Krieger also revealed that Fleet Feet Sports Buffalo and Fleet Feet Sports Rochester is the presenting sponsor of the Metro 10.

“By design, this is meant to be a ‘healthy’ competition, and an opportunity for Western New Yorkers to come together to celebrate what makes each area unique, and what better way to do that than with an event that promotes running, a popular, healthy and addictive activity.,” Krieger told those in attendance.

Ellen Brenner-Boutillier, co-owner of of Fleet Feet Sports Rochester and the recently acquired Fleet Feet Sports Buffalo stores said, “Buffalo wants in and Rochester wants in, this is an incredible concept and we are so proud to be a part of the event and help promote it.”
