CHICAGO - Jan. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Achieving success for one’s self and for one’s children has never been more difficult in this highly competitive world. The newly released WANTED: Eight Critical Skills You Need to Succeed defines these eight skills, explains why they are needed by all adults and students, and shows how they may be learned. The book is published by Outskirts Press.

Based on extensive research from real-world hiring practices, the book, by author Charles Cranston Jett, addresses a number of vital questions related to success:

What skills make people successful in their careers in today's economy?
What skills does the reader need – and what skills do their children need – to be successful in any career in the future?
How do these skills fit into the reader’s personal career management strategy?
What can adult readers and students do to learn these skills?
How are these skills taught in our schools, if at all?
How are these skills measured?
What skills do employees need to make a business successful?
How can one determine the critical skills for his or her company?

The purpose of this book is to answer these questions for individuals who are pursuing career success. It’s also aimed at students who wonder what they must learn in order to be competitive in the real world, for business leaders who know that building a talented group of employees is the recipe for business success, and for teachers who are dedicated to the education of their students and preparing them for successful lives – not only in their careers but as productive citizens.

WANTED: Eight Critical Skills You Need to Succeed outlines the critical skills essential for success in a career and in everyday living – skills not typically taught in high school or college. This easy-to-follow guide clearly defines and shows readers how to develop critical thinking, communication, production, information, analysis, interpersonal, time management and continued education skills.
