Follow on Google News | Mongolian Entrepreneurs Learn Benefits of Business Mentoring and Entrepreneurial Best PracticesDee Beaudette, chief learning officer for Collective Changes led the workshop and showed the entrepreneurs how a business mentoring program can improve their business operations in management, marketing, finance and more. She explained how mentors help you learn by sharing their experiences, listening to your ideas or helping you craft a business plan for investors. Having a mentor can be highly beneficial in building your confidence. Mentoring from an employers’ perspective increases learning, job satisfaction and employee retention. By decreasing the employee’s learning curve, businesses enjoy faster productivity and growth with fewer mistakes. For entrepreneurs with smaller networks, finding the right mentor can be difficult. Beaudette said, “Start by finding someone you can easily talk with. LinkedIn is another excellent resource that can connect you with tens and thousands of like-minded professionals around the globe.” Building a strategic network of experienced industry professionals helps you grow your business. When the workshop closed, the women received access to the business resources on the Collective Changes mentoring website. “We enjoy working with the World Affairs Council International Visitor Program,” said Beaudette. “It’s an honor to help educate people throughout the world, especially women, who have limited access to credit, business education and networking opportunities.” According to Elisabeth Ullman, program officer for the International Visitor Program of the World Affairs Council, “We strive to expose our visitors to new and engaging ways of thinking about business development by connecting them to top entrepreneurial minds in the Seattle area and were thrilled to be able to work with Collective Changes on this project.
