LOS ANGELES - Dec. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Across the nation, the month of October served as a platform for businesses to encourage customers and employees to support breast cancer awareness. Come holiday season, the surplus of pink slowly vanishes as shelves diminish in products angled at raising funds for breast cancer awareness. As so many women develop low self-esteem from the both emotionally and physically draining process of breast cancer treatment, they consequently fail to reach their full potential post survival. The ‘Pledge a Pink Lippie Project’ was created to act as an agent of change to inspire and educate breast cancer survivors about a wider definition of beauty. Cashmere Nicole, CEO of Beauty Bakerie was diagnosed with a rare form of Breast Cancer affecting only 2% of people. With a double vasectomy and many other implications to cope with, the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment led the Beauty Bakerie CEO to the ‘Pledge a Pink Lippie Project’.

“I struggled with my appearance a great deal after my double vasectomy. To me, my breasts are what made me a woman. It was hard for me to consider myself beautiful again,” said Cashmere.  “I created the Pink Lippie Project to provide a small token for these women to feel beautiful while giving them hope and something to smile about,” she added.

The Pink Lippie Campaign launched early October with the announcement of the charitable campaign on Beyonce.com. Each Wednesday in October, Beyonce.com showcased inspirational stories of those who have had their lives affected by breast cancer. Cashmere was the first to share her story of inspiration on the popular singers personal blog. Cashmere was thankful for the outpour of support from the ‘Beyhive’ (Beyonce fans).
