A Systematic Approach to Strategize CSR & Sustainability

MUMBAI, India - Nov. 26, 2014 - PRLog -- In a unique endeavor, IICA has collaborated with EVI to conduct a one day Management Development Program on “Strategizing CSR & Sustainability - Opportunities & Challenges”. IICA along with EVI has created this customized programme especially designed for corporates keeping in view the present opportunities and challenges in the area of CSR & Sustainability. This program will unfold various topics related to the implementation of  the  new  CSR  mandate  in  the  country  in  light  of  the Companies Act 2013.

Event: The workshop would be conducted on 9th December,2014 in Mumbai.The  aim  of  the  programme  is  to  provide  a  deep  understanding  of relevant sections of Companies Act 2013 related to CSR, CSR Policy 2014, and Schedule VII with a special focus on Environmental Sustainability. The programme intends to help corporates in designing holistic CSR Projects, keeping  in  view  the  key  material  issues  of  respective  sectors  and  long term  sustainability  of  the  projects  with a focus  on  improving  quality  of  life,  generating employment/livelihood and creating SHGs etc. for the disadvantaged, marginalized and vulnerable sections of the society. The programme will also showcase some of the practical case studies in areas of environment & social sustainability along with insights and deliberations into project implementation issues, besides other requirements of reporting, transparency, disclosures and accountability.
