SUNNYVALE, Calif. - Nov. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Turner Designs reports that a settlement agreement has been reached with Nalco, an Ecolab company, in their dispute over Turner Designs’ Little DipperTM product and Nalco’s patent 6,255,118.  As part of the settlement Turner Designs agreed that they induced infringement of the ‘118 patent, but Nalco agreed they will not sue any Turner Designs customers or end users over use of our Little Dipper products in regards to the ‘118 patent.

Nalco also agreed that Turner Designs can continue to ship the Little Dipper and Little Dipper 2 with their current silicon photodiode in normal monthly quantities until January 31, 2015. On February 1, 2015 or sooner Turner Designs expects to start shipping the Little Dipper 2 with a non-silicon photodiode. The Little Dipper 2 was designed with this as an option and there will be no change in performance or price to the product, the change will be invisible to users.  Nalco agreed they will not sue Turner or any Turner Designs customers or end users if the Little Dipper uses a non-silicon photodiode.
