Internationally Known A Capella Group, Blue Jupiter, Comes to Adelphi University on November 14

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Oct. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Blue Jupiter, a critically acclaimed and world-touring a cappella group, will perform at the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (AUPAC), 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall. The group will sing songs from its repertoire of pop music that will be sure to please everyone in the audience. Adelphi’s own a cappella group, Paws and Rewind, will open the show.

Blue Jupiter has rocked audiences and performed throughout the United States and Asia. The group’s music has been well received everywhere they have gone with their remixes of all different popular songs from Ben E. King’s “Stand by Me” to Carlos Santana’s “Smooth”.

Blue Jupiter has even garnered acclaim for their original material. The jingle that has been the staple of Oreos Wonderfilled campaign commercials and advertising was their creation after winning a contest hosted by Randy Jackson from American Idol.  They have since headlined the VH1 Save the Music Event in Oswego, NY.  Furthermore, they have had a huge presence at the Harmony Sweepstakes in New York City, Chicago and Washington DC winning “best arrangement” and “audience favorite” for two years straight.

Opening the show will be Adelphi’s own a cappella group, Paws and Rewind. This group has quickly gained attention on campus. Since their founding last year, they have made the cover of Newsday’s Explore Long Island section and performed on campus many times including the annual Relay for Life at Adelphi University. Rohit Singla, sophomore biology major and president of Paws and Rewind said, “It is an honor for Paws and Rewind to open for Blue Jupiter. It’s a great opportunity for us to showcase what we do in front of Adelphi University and we are thankful to be part of this event.”
