TriTech SBDC Consultant Bill Waldo Recognized as “State Star” By National Association

CORONA, Calif. - Sept. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Bill Waldo, a senior consultant with the TriTech Small Business Development Center (SBDC), has received the Association of Small Business Development Centers’ coveted “State Star” Award in recognition of his contributions to the state SBDC program.

Mr. Waldo was presented with the award on September 9, 2014 while among his peers at America's SBDC Annual Conference in Grapevine, Texas. The award is given annually to an outstanding SBDC staff member from each district across the country.  The criteria for this award includes showing a strong commitment to small business success, making significant contributions to the state SBDC program, and being an exemplary performer.

During his six-year association with the TriTech SBDC, Mr. Waldo’s clients have reported in excess of $56 million in economic impact with 357 jobs created/retained to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA’s measurement for economic impact includes, loans achieved, increases in sales, capital infusion, jobs created, and jobs retained.

Mr. Waldo possesses over 30 years of knowledge and expertise developing lucrative and rewarding companies. With an incredible depth of knowledge on his own experiences, he applies his strategic planning skills and business instincts to the everyday dilemmas faced by business owners in Southern California. Throughout his career, Mr. Waldo has been asked to serve on several national industry advisory boards and spent several years as president of MarkeTech, a national industry share group. In 2006 he became an investor and membership chairman for Tech Coast Angels (TCA) and for Keiretsu Forum. He currently serves as a senior consultant for the TriTech SBDC as well as an active investor for the TCA.
