WASHINGTON - Sept. 24, 2014 - PRLog -- On Wednesday, September 24th, 2014, Los Angeles-based entrepreneur Jaime Nack joined fellow National Women’s Business Council Members for briefings with senior White House staff and representatives from Congress focused on policies that impact women entrepreneurs and business owners.  Nack participated as the youngest member of the Council representing entreprenuers under 40 and brought her expertise in the arenas of clean tech and environmental consulting. The briefing highlighted women’s integral role in economic growth and competitiveness.

“It is an honor to serve on the Council and work to build out an eco system that encourages economic growth for women entrepreneurs,” Nack remarked. “The government has the ability to further spur business growth and it is encouraging to see legislature like Senate Bill 2693 - The Women’s Small Business Ownership Act of 2014 – which supports the efforts of the 8.6 million women-owned small businesses across the country by providing women’s small business counseling, small business contracting, and access to capital.”

Following the briefing, the National Women’s Business Council hosted a public meeting and workshops for attendees wishing to “Make Your Fortune from the Fortune 500,” “Go Global, Get Your Export On,” or “Get Ready for Primetime” covering access to federal contracts.  Expert panelists presented successful case studies and shared lessons learned to an eager audience of entrepreneurs, policy makers and academics.

In addition to her role as a federal appointee on the National Women’s Business Council, Nack is involved in many activities that promote women in leadership. She is the Founder of the Women In Green Forum, an annual conference highlighting women’s impact on the environmental arena and serves as a member of the Gender Gap Task Force as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.  She is an accomplished entrepreneur with a thriving sustainability consulting firm Three Squares Inc. and a newly minted tech company, One Drop Interactive, offering corporate sustainability training for employees of large organizations.
