SCRANTON, Pa. - Sept. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Scranton based band Threatpoint gets national recording act IKILLYA for their 2nd CD release party.

Get ready to feel the heat! Local band Threatpoint gets national recording act IKILLYA for their 2nd CD release party. Also scheduled on the bill are local metal acts Psycho Prism, Cause of Affliction, and Beyond Fallen.

Threatpoint came together from the folding of two previous bands who knew each other and played out together very frequently. Founded in 2012, the line up currently consists of Chris James (vocals), Alex Olivetti (guitar), Dave Visbisky (guitar), Ron Martin (bass), and CJ Krukowski (drums). The band originally started off as a 4 piece powerhouse. With the addition of Visbisky (formerly of Death Forge), they are ready to start ripping up the airwaves, and plowing through states with nothing but pure metal.

Threatpoint is an original metal band from Scranton, PA. The sound that they deliver is not the same that you will find in any other metal act. They have raised the bar in the genre of “GROOVE METAL”. This is what the key to their music is. You will never be disappointed when you come to one of their shows, because they keep you going from the minute the show starts until the end.

The band is managed by their frontman’s sidekick, Lizzie Steel, and are touring venues up and down the East Coast and starting to head out Midwest. The band is taking off more than any local act in this area. Threatpoint has a large show schedule ahead including Project Independent’s local stop on 9/29/2014 at The Factory Underground, Wilkes-Barre. PA.

After one long year in the studio, they are ready to deliver 14 tracks on their upcoming album Careful What You Wish For. They have one album prior to this called Dead to Rise, released last June. The electrifying stage presence from those tracks to this, you are going to hear a lot more heavier but still original style in what they do.

They are here to stay and are ready for the Harvest of Souls tour which is scheduled this fall. It starts on Halloween where they will be touring the New England states. Threatpoint is a band that loves to live the fast lane and have a great time doing it.
