Ascensus College Savings Appoints Two Senior Vice Presidents

NEWTON, Mass. - Sept. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Ascensus College Savings, a leading administrator for 529 college savings programs, announced that Peg Creonte has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Business Development. In this position, she will be responsible for establishing industry partnerships and finding opportunities to contribute thought leadership to the college savings industry.

“Peg’s strong operational background and in-depth understanding of the company’s Unite 529 platform will allow her to explore new business opportunities while helping prospective and existing clients and partners grow their 529 plans,” said Jeff Howkins, President of Ascensus College Savings.

Ms. Creonte earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University and her Master of Business Administration from Cornell University.

Ascensus College Savings also announced that Scott Morrison has returned to the company as Senior Vice President, Platform Architecture/Product Management. Mr. Morrison was the original designer of the Unite 529 platform.

“Scott brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in financial systems analysis back to Ascensus College Savings,” said Howkins. “His new role will focus on platform enhancements to further facilitate growth.”

Mr. Morrison earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and his Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University. He has also served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force.
