Host, M.C. and Menasha Packaging West Region V.P., Greg Theis, explained “this expansion is three years in the making, and [this project] will give Menasha Packaging the necessary infrastructure to support growth for the foreseeable future.”
Positive Community Impact
Additional speakers at the groundbreaking included City of Lakeville Mayor, Matt Little, and Minnesota DEED Commissioner, Katie Clark Sieben, along with Menasha Corporation CEO and President, Jim Kotek, and Menasha Packaging President, Mike Waite. All speakers shared a common support for the notion that keeping Menasha Packaging in Lakeville – through this expansion effort – benefits everyone. Remaining in Lakeville benefits the employees, many of whom have been employed for much of the 45 years this original building has been in existence in Lakeville, and also benefits the City of Lakeville through an expanded tax base and an increase in available jobs.
