By: Goldcrest House The Goldcrest team stall was a sell-out success. Eileen Smale, activities co-ordinator at Goldcrest House says: “It was the busiest two and a half hours we’ve had in a long time! It was a fantastic morning and an activity the residents very much enjoyed getting involved in. The positive feedback from our residents means we’ll be setting up stall again in September.” Goldcrest House raised £80 which will go into a fundraising pot for the Goole based Riverside School; a community day school for boys and girls aged five to 16 years experiencing a range of special needs. Based on Boothferry Road Goldcrest House is a centre of excellence dedicated to addressing the individual needs of adults over 18 affected by Autistic Spectrum Disorder and learning difficulties. It is a residential home that provides long-term integrated specialist day and residential care to meet the varied needs of those who access the service 52 weeks a year; its aim is to be the UK’s quality service of choice.
