As partner of the festival, the event will be hosted by Ride Me TV hosts, Jennifer Ortiz, Yesenia Santos, Nikki Davis and Shanice Sanchez and exclusive interviews will be orchestrated with Lee on the Beats and Katlyn Nichol as well as other celebrities and industry tastemakers in attendance to be syndicated to their over 8,000,000 viewers.
Gbassa D’Acosta, founder and executive producer of Ride With Me , is fairly new to the New York City televised programming market. Having built a successful TV brand in the Midwest, garnering syndication through popular cable service companies, Fox and Charter TV-St.Louis, the St.Louis transplant has interviewed nearly every relevant name in the music and entertainment arenas ranging from Snoop Dog to Don King. Recognizing the ever-changing cultural shifts in East Coast TV viewership and the fleeting attention spans of a younger, inner-city demographic, Gbassa made the decision to launch an experiential series in which her show’s current fans (over 8,000,000) and new supporters can experience the Ride With Me brand and interact with the show’s hosts.
This season, The #UrbNation Music Festival has taken on a new tone and style apart from its earlier market introduction as a music competition series. The UrbNation Music Fest now boasts a multi-dimensional event roster consisting not only of live performances by Mary J Blige’s artist, Katlyn Nichol and rising Platinum producer Lee on the Beats, but a full-fledged fashion show in homage to New York Fashion Week, live Fire Breathing exhibitionists and a full-throttle Glow in The Dark after-party. Ride With Me producers will also host the red carpet, in conjunction with former Global Grind journalist’s online publication “It’s Only Entertainment,”
