ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Aug. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Phantom Data Services, LLC is pleased to announce the release of the Pitch Hitter Ear Training App for Android.  This unique app is a fun and challenging tool for learning to "play by ear".  The app teaches players to hear, recognize, and correctly sing and/or play musical pitches.

The Pitch Hitter training process starts with the app playing a random musical note.  The player must listen carefully to the note, recognize the pitch, and either sing or play the note back.  Unlike many other ear training apps, Pitch Hitter has the unique ability to listen and analyze the player's response.  A real-time spectrum display shows how close the player is to the target pitch.  Once the player hits the correct pitch, Pitch Hitter provides instant feedback, shows the player the name of the note that was played, and moves on to another random note.

Pitch Hitter is available for Android devices as a free download from the Google Play Store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phantommultimedia.pitchhitter
