PROTECH Interns Learn Marketing, IT Strategies over Summer Break

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Aug. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- PROTECH was pleased to welcome marketing interns Alexa Koch and Hali Jordan to their team for the summer. During their five week internship at PROTECH, Koch and Jordan spent their time learning marketing and IT strategies at the IT staffing company’s main office in Boca Raton, FL.

Jordan, a second-year Communications major at Florida State University, knew what she wanted in an internship when she applied for a marketing internship with PROTECH.

"I was looking for the opportunity to grow in a hard-working environment and gain the experience I needed to further prosper in a professional world,” said Jordan. “Not only did my internship at PROTECH help me build up my resume and marketing skills, it helped me get a feel for what it actually means to implement hard work and have something to show for it.”

Koch, a first-year student starting at New York University this fall, was looking for a similar opportunity as Jordan when she came across an ad for a marketing internship at PROTECH.

“I wanted to gain some actual work experience before starting college; I was looking for an internship that would allow me to explore something new, but more importantly, allow me to write and acquire skills that I could ultimately use in a professional aspect,” Koch said about her time interning at PROTECH. “I can also say that I am now versed in some IT lingo, as well as various skills and programs in the industry.”

During their internship, Koch and Jordan learned how to expand the PROTECH online brand through marketing as well as learned how the IT Staffing Firm connects employers with future employees. On the marketing side, the two college students conducted keyword research and wrote SEO rich articles, contributed original blog posts for various online social media platforms, created original social media posts, and learned how to expertly navigate WordPress. On the IT Staffing side, Koch and Jordan learned how to review resumes and assisted in updating the PROTECH proprietary candidate database.
