National Black Chamber of Commerce president Harry Alford to appear in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS - Aug. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- The Successful Thinkers of Indianapolis chapter is pleased to announce the arrival and visit of the President and Vice President of the National Black Chamber of Commerce, Harry Alford and Kay DeBow Alford. The organization will be hosting a reception on August 12 at New Orleans on The Avenue, 543 Indiana Ave. at 6:30 pm for their arrival.

The chapter is looking to rally support for the revitalization of the Indianapolis Chapter of the National Black Chamber of Commerce, which was one of the first chapters in the nation.

“This visit from the president and executive president is significant because the purpose is to revitalize the now defunct chapter of the Indianapolis Black Chamber of Commerce.” said Ferguson Mayfield, Regional Ambassador of Successful Thinkers.

The organization believes attendance and support of this event from the community is proof of the need for solidarity advocacy and representation in the African-American business community.
