By: America's Future Series “Our passion is matching great people with great jobs, and we’re honored to be a part of an event that allows us to provide this service to veterans. Individuals who have served our country have experience and training far beyond any civilian job can impart, making them truly valuable additions to any company.” – Lisa Nichols, CEO and Co-Founder of Technology Partners. Companies value the work ethic, character and dedication taught in the Military and the fact that these characteristics are transferred to the work environment. As thousands of active duty Military return to civilian life, it is vitally important that the skills, abilities, experience and leadership these men and women have gained through Military service in great abundance be used to the fullest extent possible. The morning will start off with breakfast and a moderated roundtable where senior business executives and heads of Human Resources will share best practices on sourcing, evaluating, onboarding, mentoring, training, integrating, and retaining these Military personnel. Following the breakfast roundtable, a Hiring Fair featuring approximately 55 major and mid-sized fast growing companies actively seeking Military to fill current jobs will be held in DBU’s Great Hall. Over 3,000 jobs have been posted by the 55 companies who will be present and ready to hire. Resumes will be uploaded and available for the hiring companies to select qualified candidates to meet the needs of their organization. "We are excited about the response from so many great companies here in the Metroplex. We have a full complement of 55 companies collectively looking to fill almost 4,000 job/career openings with current military, former military and military spouse candidates. We would appreciate help from civic, military, business, social and religious groups in getting the word out to military and veteran job seekers as this is a true Hiring Fair and not a Job Fair. Registration is free and easy to do online", shared David Hamilton, Founder of The America's Future Series. Veteran organizations, civic organizations, career groups, newspapers, radio talk shows, social media outlets, Military and their families are requested to assist in spreading the word that these employers are ready to hire Military and their spouses.
