Walmart Kicks Off Back To School With The FILL THE BUS EVENT

BATON ROUGE, La. - July 31, 2014 - PRLog -- Baton Rouge, Louisiana, July 31, 2014– Walmart’s Siegen Lane and College Drive locations are kicking off back-to-school shopping with savings for customers with the “Fill the Bus” event to secure Back To School supplies for East Baton Rouge Parish School (EBR) students.  The "Fill the Bus" event will take place on August 2, 2014 at the College Drive Walmart from 8am-5pm.

“The combination of families stocking up on school supplies, college students shopping for electronics and the state sales tax holiday makes this one of the busiest times of the year for us,” said Steve Bratspies, executive vice president, general merchandise for Walmart U.S. “We know that customers are searching for ways to save as they prepare for the fall. That’s why we’re making it easier for them to get back to class for less with great deals available in our stores.”

Walmart is partnering with local businesses and non-profit organizations in effort to secure Back To School supplies for East Baton Rouge Parish School (EBR) students.  EBR will provide a school bus in hopes that local citizens will help Walmart Fill the Bus with much needed school supplies. All Walmart Stores in BR area are donating supplies to assist with "Filling the Bus"! All proceeds will be donated directly to EBR Schools. Other sponsors include:
