St. Georges Hall - Gilding and Specialist Decoration Stands the Test of Time

BIRKENHEAD, U.K. - July 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Anybody visiting the Small Concert Room in St. Georges Hall, Liverpool will be greeted with and will enjoy the first class decoration of the building.

It is now 8 years since Hankinson Painting Group completed the gilding and decorative works during a major refurbishment of the Small Concert Room. The fact it still looks as fresh today as it did when first completed is testament to the quality of workmanship by Hankinson Gilder and Decorators.

The award winning work (2007Johnstone’s Painter of the Year People’s Choice and 2007 Painting Decorating Association Annual Trophy Awards Decorative Painting Contract of the Year) included significant areas of gilding, marbling and graining all carried out by Hankinson Gilders and craftsmen to recreate the original scheme of this 1850’s neo classical masterpiece.  The building is known to be one of Prince Charles favourites.

The Hall has been used for many events since the decorations were completed including performances by the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra who claim that “it is one of the greatest chamber music halls in the World!”  They also say “a delight to behold and a joy to play in”.
