Follow on Google News | Cutting the Fat with Ice CreamMVP Training Studio Little River Turns Popular Dessert into Health Food
Mark Vymislicky, owner of the facility, will be producing the ice cream on site and instructing attendees on how to make their own healthy alternatives to Ben & Jerry's. Vymislicky believes that getting people to eat healthfully must start slowly. “People think that living a healthy lifestyle means getting rid of anything sweet or delicious. That's not true. “By substituting the bad fats in ice cream with good fats from coconut and almond and replacing the sugar with an all-natural no-calorie sweetener, we are taking a big step in the right direction.” The ice cream made on site at the demonstration is protein-based, not cream-based, leading to a lower-calorie treat that can actually help build muscle. Unlike most ice creams in the supermarkets, what Mark is producing does not have any artificial ingredients, preservatives, or even any added sugar. And it still tastes great. “People are surprised by how good it tastes. It's different from ice cream, certainly, but that's the point, how we can slowly wean ourselves off super-sweet, high-calorie indulgences and replace them with something much healthier.” Americans on average consume approximately 6 gallons of ice cream annually. Its consumption is discouraged by the USDA as excess sugar and calorie intake leads to obesity and diabetes. However, the brand that is being cooked up at MVP Training Studio Little River is good for the waistline – and your muscles. “Really the kicker is that the ice cream is made with protein, so that your metabolism and muscles are fueled optimally. We encourage our clients and bootcamp members to eat or drink protein immediately after exercising to help them build muscle and burn fat.” As if free fitness ice cream were not enough, Mark will be raffling away a new ice cream maker and a jug of protein at the facility. All who come are eligible for the raffle. MVP Training Studio Little River is located at 1091 Redi-Mix Rd Unit E Little River, SC.
