One Picture Saves a Life and Cats R Cool Present a Free NY Public Workshop

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. - July 8, 2014 - PRLog -- One Picture Saves a Life and Cats R Cool are on tour and all pet lovers are invited for some furry fun! On Sunday, August 3, 2014, the North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, NY will host the next event for these two wonderful organizations.This free workshop will have a general morning session beginning at 10am where attendees will hear from three special speakers, followed by in-depth breakout sessions. The workshop will showcase the talents of:

·        Seth Casteel (http://www.littlefriendsphoto.com/), award-winning photographer and New York Times Best Selling Author of Underwater Dogs

·        Jorge Bendersky (http://planetjorge.com/), celebrity dog groomer and expert, formerly on Animal Planet’s Groomer Has It

·        Special guest: Jackson Galaxy (http://jacksongalaxy.com/bio/), cat behaviorist and host of Animal Planet’s My Cat from Hell

Attendees will have the unique experience to meet Jackson Galaxy (Animal Planet's My Cat From Hell), Seth Casteel (Underwater Dogs), and Jorge Bendersky (Animal Planet's Dogs 101). These pet experts will teach participants how to save more lives through grooming, positive photography, and improved shelter cat enrichment and behavior modification. The exciting workshopwill leave guests feelingempowered with all the tools they need to get out, volunteer, and save shelter pets' lives.

The breakout sessions will be from either Seth Casteel and Jorge Bendersky (One Picture Saves a Life) or Jackson Galaxy (Cats R Cool). The Cats R Cool section will also include a special presentation on working with community cats and TNR. Afternoon sessions will be geared towards shelters and rescues, but anyone interested in volunteering can attend.

Those who are with a shelter or rescue are encouraged to bring as many representatives and volunteers so they have the opportunity to split up to cover both breakout sessions. Grant opportunities are available, including digital SLR cameras, grooming supplies, cat castles and scratchers, community cat traps, and more!
