Founder of 100 World Kisses to Host Fundraiser for Hawaii State Senator's Congressional Campaign

On Thursday, July 10th, 2014 from 6-8pm, international photographer Ignacio Lehmann and Brooklyn, New York-based artists is scheduled to host a private gallery show of his newest collection of images apart of the 100 World Kisses project.

NEW YORK - July 2, 2014 - PRLog -- On Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 6-8pm, international photographer Ignacio Lehmann and Brooklyn, New York-based artists is scheduled to host a private gallery show of his newest collection of images apart of the 100 World Kisses project, to benefit the 2014 Congressional campaign of Hawaii State Senator Will Espero. Ignacio Lehmann recently began photographing couples sharing their intimate moment in New York City, and has received praise from local art enthusiasts for his innovative and emotional art project. This event is schedule to be hosted at the private residence of Nicholas J. Quiles, a Brooklyn-based entrepreneur and supporter of the arts. Guests are encouraged to make a donation of $50 per ticket, and will enjoy specialty cocktails, live entertainment, and a special panel discussion on the state of the arts community of Brooklyn, New York. Panelists to be announced shortly. Proceeds will benefit Senator Will Espero’s 2014 Congressional campaign. Senator Will Espero will provide a special video keynote address, discussing the importance of arts education nationally, and sharing his vision for the future of the arts in America.

Will Espero has worked in Hawaii for 31 years which includes 22 years in public service and 10 years in the private sector.  He was an appointee of Mayor Frank Fasi for 8 years and is in his 15th year in the Hawaii legislature.  He currently holds the position of Senate Majority Floor Leader and is the chairman of the Senate Public Safety, Intergovernmental, and Military Affairs Committee. Senator Espero has had 87 of his bills passed by the legislature. He is a strong supporter of a rail transit system, transit-oriented development, and development in West Oahu and Kakaako. Ignacio Lehmann is the cultural ambassador to Argentina and the founder of 100 World Kisses (www.100worldkisses.com),an arts project aiming to capture photos of 100 kisses in cities across the world. Lehmann’s Facebook following has grown to more than 230,000 followers and he has appeared in media all over the globe including CNN, ABC News, Yahoo! News, El Mundo, El Pais, El Universal, MTRE, La Nacion, Chilango, and more.

"New York is the first city where I've collected 100 different kisses. My models are ordinary people on the street and I find that I'm attracted to the special connection they have with each other. Sometimes friends would decide to kiss just for the sake of this project. Kissing improves our day. In some photos, the setting is also very important: for example, in Japan, two people I photographed kissed in front of the only building left intact after the bombing Hiroshima." Ignacio Lehman.
