For 25 years, TVS was the major producer of college basketball in the USA, beginning by networking games regionally to UHF and independent stations and then growing into a partnership with NBC that lasted until the advent of ESPN and USA cable networks. Today, TVS is building NABL basketball via TV coverage. The NABL, established in 1938, is an industrial basketball league that now develops pro basketball players for FIBA teams overseas. Its players are all former collegiate stars looking to have a pro basketball career. In 1975 TVS founded the IWA Wrestling series, the first national TV wrestling endeavor. Today, TVS has revived the IWA, making new versions of the show with Chicago based promoter Carlos Robles. In the 1980's, TVS televised the Ladies Pro Bowlers Tour. Today, TVS owns the LPBT and is prducing new spisodes of the series under the updated title of Ladies Pro Bowlers Showcase. In addition, TVS has added the Pro Bowlers Showcase for men. In the 1970's, TVS began it's boxing franchise with the Joe Frazier vs. Ron Stander fight in Omaha. Today TVS is producing amateur and pro boxing cards around the USA and around the world in association with Boxing Illustrated Magazine. In the 1980's TVS produced the innovative 1 Club Golf series, hosted by Lee Trevino. Today, TVS has revived that series and has added the TVS Long Ball Challenge as well. In the 1970's, TVS televised Pele and NASL Soccer. Today, TVS has taken its cameras indoors to televise NAFL Futsal games. NAFL Futsal teams prepare young players for tryouts with American outdoor soccer teams, giving them the ability to develop their skills indors against top international competition. In the 1980's and 90's TVS syndicated Roller Derby, and today is televising the resurgence of the great Roller Derby teams such as the San Francisco Bay Bombers, Brooklyn Red Devils, Philadelphia Warriors and Los Angeles Firebirds. In the 1970's and 80's, TVS televised the Alan King Tennis Championships from Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Today, the TVS Tennis Challenge provides up and coming tennis stars to be seen for the first time on TV, much like John McEnroe, Ivan Lendl, and Michael Chang began their careers on TVS. Other sports that were mainstays on TVS and are now back in production include billiards, rodeo, arm wrestling, PKA Karate, darts, and motor racing. In the 1990's, TVS produced it's signature series, Distant Replay, with longtime TVS announcer Duane Dow. Today, new episodes of TVS Distant Replay are being readied with national radio sports host Nick Bonsanto as host. In all, TVS Global Media has more thn 200 hours of new sports programming slated for production in the upcoming year. All shows will be distributed to broadcast stations, cable networks, IPTV, mobile, and DVD platforms. End
