If your ex believes you love them still they'll be anticipating a series of emotional calls in which you bear your heart and soul. If that doesn't happen and they think back to the last conversation you two had where you wished them well, they'll realize you've moved on. That's what you want because your ex will finally have to face the idea of a life without you.
