WSP appoints Todd Musterait as Practice Leader

RESTON, Va. - June 20, 2014 - PRLog -- Todd Musterait, an expert in industrial energy and water management, has joined WSP’s Environmental team as a practice leader, announces Jan Chizzonite, executive vice president and USA director of environmental at WSP, the global engineering, design, and environmental consultancy.

Mr. Musterait, who is based in Buffalo, NY, will lead WSP’s Industrial Energy and Water Management practice, aiding clients in reducing energy and water consumption, implementing proper wastewater operations, developing suitable handling and disposal of waste streams, and sustainable practices.

In Mr. Musterait’s over twenty years of experience, he has managed environmental and energy projects across the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, Vietnam, South Korea, and India. This experience includes environmental project management and planning, optimizing energy and water use in industrial applications, water and wastewater treatment, and energy management. He also has expertise in industrial and commercial facility compliance, supply chain and manufacturing sustainability, site characterization, feasibility studies, and engineering design and management.

Previously, Mr. Musterait served as a technical program manager at HDR where he was responsible for industrial program management of energy, water, wastewater management, environmental affairs and sustainability. Prior to HDR, Mr. Musterait was the director of energy and water management at Rich Products Corporation and had global responsibility for energy, water and wastewater management at the company's manufacturing facilities. He led corporate sustainability initiatives for manufacturing operations, supported environmental affairs and implemented risk management policies and procedures. He also led Rich's Energy Star Partnership and contributed to the USEPA Energy Star Guide, "Energy Efficiency Improvement and Cost Savings Opportunities for the Baking Industry".

Mr. Musterait holds an M.E. in civil engineering from Clarkson University and a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire. He is a licensed professional engineer and holds certifications as an ISI Envision Sustainability professional and LEED Green Associate. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Association of Energy Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Water Environment Federation.
