Follow on Google News | USGBC-Illinois Announces New Sponsorship and Vendor Opportunities for 2014 GreenBuilt Home TourThe unique educational event offers a wide range of corporate sponsorship packages and branding opportunities for building products manufacturers and consumer-focused brands and institutions.
By: USGBC_Illinois The Tour, which takes place July 26-27, is presented by the United States Green Building Council Illinois Chapter, and is made up of more than a dozen recently completed or in-process houses. Each dwelling features a variety of innovative residential design ideas, building practices, mechanical systems, and building materials that represent both the present and future of sustainably- As the organizer of the awareness-building event, USGBC-Illinois requires that homes on the tour be third-party verified (or pending verification) The GreenBuilt Home Tour attracts visitors across the metro area; with homes located from the Wisconsin border to Naperville and beyond. The 2013 Tour tallied approximately 1,200 visits in two days and reached more than 200,000 Chicago area residents through a special newspaper section published and distributed by the Chicago Tribune. With an increased marketing and public relations budget, the GreenBuilt Home Tour has expanded both online and offline promotions to include the a new Tribune pull-out section, posts on popular social media platforms, the USGBC-IL and GreenBuilt Home Tour websites, an extended email marketing campaign, as well as editorial coverage in various Chicago area media occurring before, during, and after the Tour. Sponsorship packages start at $500 and go to a top tier of $20,000 – which includes a special thank-you gift for the sponsor to enjoy chauffeur-driven transportation in a luxury hybrid or electric vehicle to each home on the tour, complete with a gourmet locavore lunch.
