By: Changing The World Films The Shaw Brothers were formally announced as being one of the three finalists in this year’s competition. They will compete for a grand prize of $5,000 on June 19th – 22nd in New York City at the 18th annual ABFF. In addition to competing for the grand prize, a scene from their screenplay will be performed live by actors in front of festival attendees and industry leaders. In past years, the “UP Faith & Family Screenplay Competition” Selton and Langston Shaw are the founders of Changing the World Films, LLC. Since the company’s inception they have produced six films; five of which have been official selections at Film Festivals throughout the country. The Shaw Brothers have many accolades to include Selton Shaw being announced the winner of 2006 AXE Black Filmmaker’s Series Competition for his directorial debut of “The Let Out Guys.” The film also premiered at the 2006 ABFF in Miami. Later, the film went on to win the Robert Townsend's 2010 Ultimate Pitch Master Competition in New York. “We put in an immense amount of time into developing scripts, scouting talent, and producing each film,” said Selton Shaw, Executive Producer of Changing the World Films, LLC. “This is our passion.
