“Put one’s money where one’s mouth is,” say Andrew and Alison Wiltzius, co-founders of Bubba Shane BBQ LLC, and foster adopt parents of the company’s namesake “Bubba”. Taking their love for family and BBQ, the Wiltzius’ decided to help foster children waiting to be adopted in Colorado. With approximately 4,000 children in foster care in Colorado, and 273 kids waiting to be adopted they knew now was the time to help. “We obviously couldn’t adopt all of the children needing homes in Colorado, but we could help them find a family through monetary support,” says Alison. As a result, we formed Bubba Shane BBQ LLC with one mission: to help foster children find forever homes. We are excited to have partnered with Adopt Colorado Kids
, a non-profit located in Windsor whose mission is to help connect waiting kids with families. Through the purchase of delicious Colorado made BBQ sauce, we are proud to support Adopt Colorado Kids
with one dollar ($1) from every bottle sold.
Currently sauces are available online, however, according to Mrs. Wiltzius, “We are in talks with local businesses to carry our sauces and plan to sell at local events and farmers markets in the future.” The sauces are all-natural and dairy free, and are available in two varieties – Whiskey and Carolina Style.
