Critically Acclaimed New Album
The Project have released an album and accompanying videos that has drawn praise from across the the entire Christian music community. Christianity Today called the work “artful... musically sensitive”. CCM Magazine gave the work four stars, saying it was “a daunting undertaking mastered”. Veteran music reviewer, Mark Alan Powell, called it “simple and facinating”, while The Catholic Register wrote of the work as being “powerful and transforming”
The brainchild of Duane W.H. Arnold and Michael Glen Bell, the album has taken the very words of martyrs throughout the ages, from Clement of Rome in the first century to Bonhoeffer in the twentieth century, and married their prayers to music - and what music it is! Employing the talents of world class musicians such as Phil Keaggy, Glenn Kaiser, Jennifer Knapp and many more, the music caused one reviewer to simply state, “this is a supergroup”.
One of the album’s several accompanying videos honors the martyred El Salvadorian Archbishop, Monsignor Oscar Romero. The music video “Romero” (in English and Spanish) has been seen by over 37,000 people from all over the world. Rome Reports TV News Agency featured the song and the video in television report on the anniversary of Romero’s assassination.
Bishop Christopher Coyne of Indianapolis interviewed Arnold and Bell, in his “Let Us Walk Together” podcast, while other interviews may be found on The Project YouTube channel.
