“The High Street has gone fringe mad at the moment,” added Nicky who assures girls with fringes that they can really work a pony, recommending that they tie it low for chunky/heavy fringes, mid-height for bangs or really high for peek-a-boo appeal.

“Don’t forget,” Nicky adds “Ponies aren’t just for girls with longer hair; tied back short hair looks edgy and bang on trend too. Finish with over-sized accessories and own that pony!

“Also, a high ponytail is perfect to take you from day through evening.  Just backcomb at the crown to add a little height and leave a few strands of hair loose at the front to soften the face.”
