PRLog - May 28, 2014 - LOS ANGELES -- Nikou Mohajerani has always believed that giving back to the community is important as a business leader. As an individual determined to make a name for herself in the corporate world, she knows that being socially responsible will pay dividends for her reputation, but is motivated more by her desire to be a good citizen.

In her own words, “You can only get what you are willing to give.” For Nikou, that means the more positive actions you take, the more positivity will be returned to you. “Are you willing to give your time to help people be successful? If you are, then you will be able to find success, too.”
As such, she has taken on numerous causes about which she is most concerned. To start, she has a desire to be a strong example of female success to young women. She volunteers with high-risk youth as a mentor and an advocate. Working in high schools and community centers, she aims to guide vulnerable girls as they make important life choices.
Nikou has also been a regular volunteer for an assisted living home where she acts as a friend to the elderly by visiting with them, listening to their stories, and helping them feel valued and loved. These two giveback activities provide tremendous fulfilment to Nikou and are activities she intends to maintain for years to come.
Nikou Mohajerani on the Importance of Giving Back to Cancer Research
Perhaps the most important cause championed by Nikou Mohajerani is that of cancer research. She explains why, “My father died of lymphoma and so I know firsthand what a lot of other families are going through right now. This disease affects so many people like me. I want to help people avoid the heartache and stress that my family went through by giving back to the research for a cure.”
Nikou’s passion for seeing an end to cancer is manifest in several different initiatives to support cancer research. With her firm, The Vantage Co, she recently organized a pink sock campaign that saw her team members sell pink socks at SkyZone to raise money for breast cancer research.
She is also a strong supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and got her firm involved in this cause as well. In Miami, she and her team sold beaded necklaces affixed with sports team logos and corresponding team colors. The highly successful campaign raised funds for her favorite charity in the amount of $5,000.
Additionally, she hopes to get her company involved in cancer walks to raise even more money as a team. “I think this will be another fun way for us to work together and I’m excited to find more ways for my company to contribute to the fight against cancer.”
