Dumball rally or bust for one member of the data8 team

CHESTER, U.K. - May 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Mark Carrington, chief technologist data8, is going to be setting off on the Dumball Rally (http://dumball.org/) from Brighton and heading south for about 3,000 miles to the Sahara in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust (http://www.teenagecancertrust.org/).

He is part of the Tiki Monkeys team along with three other friends from school and college. The team is named after a pioneering video podcasts that they followed called Tiki Bar TV.

Over the past few weeks, the team have been busy searching for the perfect car to take them all of the 3,000 miles, however it must cost less than £400!

They have settled on a 14 year old Renault Espace with a duff clutch, flywheel, tyres and drainage. After an heroic effort by a local friendly garage she’s now up and running and slowly drying out while being turned into a Tiki bar for the journey.

Carrington said, “I am really looking forward to this adventure, we all enjoy a laugh together, I am sure we will still be laughing at the end. It is also supporting a great charity Teenage Cancer Trust”.

He concluded, “I would also like to thank data8 for their generous sponsorship of this venture.”
