SYRACUSE, N.Y. - May 19, 2014 - PRLog -- AMVETS announces Warrior Transition Workshop (WTW) to be held in the FT. Drum New York area.  More than half of those returning from conflict deal with adjustment issues.  This interactive weekend training was designed by Veterans and is provided at no charge by the AMVETS Freedom and Honor team.  The program will be held at the Oswegatchie Educational Center in Croghan, NY, June 13-15, 2014 meals and lodging included.  The program is open to Active Duty, Guard, Reserves and Veterans, both men and women.

WTWs are peer-to peer, hands-on reintegration trainings conducted over 2.5-days using multi-media, paradigm shift and bioenergetics methodologies. Participants were unanimous in stating that the program met their goals and that they would recommend the workshop to their peers and superiors.  The first study of the Freedom and Honor Warrior Transition program demonstrated the most consistent improvements were in areas of pain interference, sleep disturbance, anger, anxiety and social isolation. Participants receive a $100 stipend upon completion of the weekend.Information can be found at www.freedomandhonor.org.  This is not a DoD or Ft. Drum sponsored event.
