Bootstrap hacking is a set of tactics for dealing with the problem of getting a startup launched as quickly as possible, with little to no capital.
Andrew Medal coined the term bootstrap hacking (and bootstrap hacker) in 2013 after continuously testing startup ideas (see blog details below). He says, "The startup game is very unpredictable. Sometime a startup that doesn't seem like it's going to "take off" blows up, and sometimes the seemingly perfect idea/opportunity/ Teaming up with General Assembly seemed like a no-brainer. He says, "Through General Assembly, I am able to teach others what I quickly learned through endless testing and iterating. Providing a basic framework with actionable and practical steps will help others increase their odds of entrepreneurial success." Andrew Medal is the Founder of Digital Disruptive (http://disruptseo.com) a digital marketing company for disruptive products by disruptive experts. He's currently interested in: advanced digital marketing tactics, Windows Phone apps, API integrations, creative hacks and User Experience. In his spare time he volunteers with the Last Mile Project teaching inmates about entrepreneurship. Additional information can be found directly on his blog (http://bootstraphacker.com).
