SILIGURI, India - May 11, 2014 - PRLog -- Duffersview is a blog website dedicated to kids and teens. It aims to prevent stereotype thinking among them.

This blog website is a small but honest attempt to free the young mind so as to let it wander and discover the infinite.

Bill Watterson has so beautifully said in his comic strip Calvin and Hobbes,

“If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I’ll bet they’d live a lot differently.”

Duffersview wants to encourage the kids and teens to think abstract and be creative.  It wants them to ask questions, reason and seek answers about the unknown. This site would love to see the young intelligent folks write whatever they want to, without fear or guilt. Duffersview will provide a platform to publish the views of these beautiful minds and present it to the whole world.

Why Duffersview, why not Kidsview or Teensview?

According to the dictionary a duffer means an incompetent or a stupid person. It also means a fool, idiot or a moron.

So, does this mean that I want to call you guys fool?

No, absolutely no.

Let me quote a few sentences from William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

Well, God give them wisdom that have it; and those
that are fools, let them use their talents.

Those wits, that think they have thee, do very oft
prove fools; and I, that am sure I lack thee, may
pass for a wise man

‘Better a witty fool, than a foolish wit.’

A bit complicated, I know.

All I want to say to you dear friends is that you are no fools or duffers to me. In your eyes I see innocence. And I can hear this very innocent voice of yours speaking to the adults of the world, saying,

“You adult intelligent leaders of the world, call me a moron. I don’t mind.

If my innocence is my mistake, I am happy being called a fool.

It is love and only love that I seek from your kind,

If seeking love is a mistake, I am a duffer and for me that is cool.

We don’t plan or execute wars, you do;

We don’t preach hatred, you do;

We don’t spread illness in the society, you do.”
