Hood News creator Hassan Haze produces webseries "Laugh Now Cry Later"

    Hassan Haze had taken a few years off from producing his acclaimed documentary series HoodNews. Hassan used the time to write, clear his mind and build a production company he named Magnifique Production Studio. The HoodNews series was and is very controversial and had taken it's toll on the writer, director, editor and artist. The distribution outlets had blocked him out, youtube had closed his channel after amassing 15k subscribers and over 15 million views, acquisition heads feared that by distributing HoodNews content they would be reprimanded and the drama mounted. Hassan had had enough and decided to wear another hat in the ever expanding production world, he would act in his own production.

With all the drama and controversy consumed in his thoughts he wanted to write something fresh, free and funny. Hassan just wrote about something he was familiar with and wrote it to the tune of escapism. Hassan wrote it to escape the very harsh realities that were in his day to day life. The writing started as a skit for a skit show he was developing but after the initial edit he decided to give "Laugh Now Cry Later" the green light for a twelve webisode series debuting on Youtube.

Hassan plays Ra'Shaun Cleuren, an urban playboy who has his way with the ladies but knows little else about life. In the first episode Ra'Shaun finds himself in a double cross chaotic scene with his girlfriend and his mistress. The girlfriend (Denise) and the mistress (Rachel) are played by talented actress Esamira Serna. Esamira and Hassan both attended "The Academy of Radio and Television Broadcasting".

Ra'Shaun has run out of "player luck" and calls on the player God "Y'ya'bul'chitn only to be answered by the player angel 'B'ytch'gitoffme, who has bad news for Ra'Shaun. The series tackles different storylines and subjects every episode. The work has been called funny to borderline disrespectful. Hassan says "You can't write with borders. I saw the vision and completely ran with it. If my critics checked my pass then they would see I've done and started movements in real life. It's time for me to have fun with my talent."
