Local Businesses Seek Volunteers for Coastal Cleanup at Seapoint Beach in Kittery Point

KITTERY POINT, Maine – As many Earth Week projects and clean ups come to a close, two local businesses want to keep the environmental spirit of alive by organizing a beach cleanup at one of the Seacoast’s most popular beaches to keep it clean and free from trash and safe for humans and their dogs.

On Saturday, May 10th Wag Wagon Pet Services (http://www.wag-wagon.com/Wag_WagonHome.html) and Nature’s Way Associates (https://www.facebook.com/NaturesWayAssociates) will be hosting the cleanup at Seapoint Beach in Kittery Point from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

“Both businesses are excited to take on the project that will help clean up a beach that is so vital to our area,” said Tammi Searle, owner, operator and pet lover at Wag-Wagon Pet Services. “We owe out to our town, our visitors and our dogs to keep this special place clean and safe for everyone’s enjoyment this summer.”

A bonfire will be lit with snacks and games being provided at the conclusion of the clean up.

Special recognition goes to the local Kittery businesses including Badgers Island Pizza, Henry VIII Carvery, Kittery Trading Post, Frisbee’s Market and When Pigs Fly for providing snacks and beverages to beach clean-up volunteers.
