DALLAS - May 1, 2014 - PRLog -- AUSTIN, DALLAS and HOUSTON -      PwC Energy Practice released its first quarter results for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) on transactions greater than $50 million.  The Report, reported by the OGJ Editors on April 30th, stated: "The most active shale plays for M&A deals include the Eagle Ford (http://www.ogj.com/topics/eagle-ford.htm), which had five deals with a total value of $3 billion, followed by the Bakken (http://www.ogj.com/topics/bakken-shale.htm) and Permian plays with three deals each, representing $863 million and $276 million, respectively."

         In the month of February alone, Taylor and Garner represented Sellers in four transactions, three deals having values of over $50 million:

         1.         The Firm represented the Seller of producing and development properties in six (6) West Texas counties with a value of $88 Million.  The Buyer was a publicly traded exploration and development company.

         2.         Partner Matt Garner represented another Seller of properties covering over 6,000 acres of land with a value of $177 Million.   The Buyer was a publicly traded independent oil and gas company.

3.         Partner Tom Taylor represented the Sellers of over 150 producing wells and development sites in the Permian Basin with a value of $70 Million.  The Buyer was a publicly traded independent oil and gas company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Firm represented several other Sellers of properties during the first quarter of 2014 for properties with values of less than $50 million.
