Palm Coast, FL - Cut up and Sew is pleased to announce they have gained a new class instructor, Gloria Brathwaite.
“I am very excited to be working at Cut Up and Sew and teaching a sewing class called Sewing with Gloria,” said Brathwaite. “Sewing is a skill that stays with you for life, and I want to help people sharpen their skills in any way I can,” she added.

Brathwaite had her own dressmaking shop on the island of Trinidad when she was only 23 years old. Arriving in New York City in 1969, Brathwaite’s love of sewing led her to the art of designing and sewing for the New York Metropolitan Opera, where she gained experience in formal wear. Brathwaite moved to Palm Coast in 1995 and began working in alterations for Bealls, gained experience with home decoration projects while working for Beth MacKinnon, Interior Designer. She later opened a shop named “Sew Glo” on Old Kings Road in 2000.
