MGS Machine Corporation Receives Governor’s Award for Building Global Markets

MGS Machine received a 2013 Governor’s International Trade Award during a ceremony conducted at the state Capitol on March 11.
 
MAPLE GROVE, Minn. - April 22, 2014 - PRLog -- “The MGS team is honored to be recognized as a leader in exporting our high-quality products,” MGS President/CEO Richard Bahr said. “It is truly a team effort to serve our global customers, dealing with various languages and expansive time zones. I’m proud of the good work the folks at MGS do every day to serve our clients.”

MGS was one of nine Minnesota companies that received the award. According to a press release issued by the governor’s office, award recipients were selected for “developing and continuing to grow a significant part of their business in foreign markets, for increasing or maintaining jobs in Minnesota to support international sales, and for developing novel approaches for competing globally.”

“International trade supports thousands of Minnesota jobs and communities across our state,” Lt. Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon said. “I want to congratulate all of these final Minnesota companies on their international growth and continued commitment to our state. The entrepreneurial spirit of these businesses will help Minnesota’s economy build on the more than 133,000 jobs created since 2011.”
