Yubixi and LineVent App Launch Party

ATHENS, Ga. - April 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Come one, come all, a huge party is in store for Athens Friday night. Two new apps, LineVent and Yubixi, plan to start their relationship with UGA right with a huge event launch at Whiskey Bent on Friday, April 25th, featuring DJ LB, T-Pain's official DJ. If that's not enough, LineVent is offering 2 $1 drinks through their app, redeemable at the bar during the event.

Attendees just need to download and show the Yubixi app to the doorman to get into Whiskey Bent between the hours of 10:00pm-12:00 am. Once inside, the 2 $1 drinks are redeemable using LineVent. Simply download the apps and come party!

Here's a brief summary of the apps coming to Athens.

Yubixi allows you to log in through a trusted social network and find people near you with common interests. People may message each other and particpate in group messages, all fundamentally based on common interest.

LineVent is doing for events what Groupon did for products. Local bars and venues in Athens post event specials on the LineVent app, similiar to Facebook event pages. Each event special comes with a needed attendance number. LineVent users activate the specials ahead of time by clicking attending on the event pages. Athens now is aware of events ahead of time and rewarded for it with free specials!

For instance the 2 $1 drink special at Whiskey Bent Friday requires 20 attendees ahead of time to activate. So after twenty users click attending on the event page, the special is redeemable at the event right through the app. LineVent wants to help venues transition from print to digital, and at the same time allow users to know what's going on ahead of time.
