PRLog - Apr. 18, 2014 - CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Thanks to CARE, parents can now sign up their children up for an interactive Summer Camp, eliminating the worry about babysitters or their own busy full-time schedules.

Set with a new theme each and every week, the summer camp keeps children excited by its fresh and new events; including weekly themes titled “Amazing Race” and “Superheroes,” which is sure to spark the interest of kids of all ages. The new summer program will promote children to become more socially engaging, make friends, be active, healthy and helps mold better students in class as well.

Currently the camp offers half-day, full day and extended day options to better custom fit each parent and families own personal schedules. Both the full-day and extended day options are ideal for parents who are looking for something other than a basic baby sitter.

“Not only do we provide meaningful after school activities with purpose and structure, but we also provide summer camps that have been a huge success in the past. We’re excited to see returning faces, as well as new ones. It’s always a fun summer here at CARE!” states Partner and Coach, Alex Cost.

Studies have shown that after school and similarly Summer camp programs not only help benefit a child's overall health, but also positively reinforce their performance in school, as stated in a recent article (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/post/why...) from ‘The Washington Post. “Studies have shown that parents are less worried and more productive when students are in afterschool programs, saving companies hundreds of billions of dollars.” The post goes on to say "The research is clear: children in quality afterschool programs are more likely to come to school and stay in school, more likely to hand in their work and get better grades."

This year’s summer camp is set to be located in Ballantyne, North Carolina at the British American School of Charlotte from July 7th through August 29th.  Operational hours include three options including: Half Day 8:30am – 12:30pm, Full Day 8:30am to 4pm and Extended 8:00am – 5pm.
