Follow on Google News | Vintage Park Community Church Releases New ArticleThe MIX at Vintage Park releases new article, "The Truth Hurts, Sometimes The One Who Speaks The Truth".
By: CHURCH-PR-PROS If you've been a Christian long enough you've been faced with the uncomfortable situation of confronting someone's beliefs or lifestyle. This usually does not get received well by the person despite how genuine or loving you are. The Bible tells us we are to spread the truth and help people grow closer in their relationship with God. But a lot of times when we do we get blasted by the person we're sharing with. It might not happen right away, the person might smile and thank us for our concern or even genuinely seem interested in making a change that would better their life. But then later a text comes slamming the thought that we'ld share a portion of the Bible that contradicts their choices. The individual might yell and scream right there in the moment. It's even possible they'll spread a campaign to get others to turn against you. A lot of the time the person will apologize later realizing the truth of the Bible was shared out of a genuine heart. Sometimes though, there is no apology and the pain of a broken friendship or a smear campaign against you leaves deep wounds. But the Bible gives us encouragement to keep spreading the truth and helping others to know God. We must be careful our methods but never shy away from the need to share the loving truth of what God says. II Timothy 2:24-26 24 The Lord's servants must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone. They must be able to teach effectively and be patient with difficult people. 25 They should gently teach those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will believe the truth. 26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from the Devil's trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants. The Mix is a student movement. We are all about excitement, energy, compassion. We want to see a change in our generation. We want you to come and be a part of this movement! We meet on Sundays at 9:30 and Wednesdays at 6:30 at 8220 Elk Grove-Florin Road Sacramento, CA 95829 More Information can be found at http://vintageparkchurch.com/ End
