Global Vice President Steve Durbin Will Highlight Key Threats to Expect Over the Next Two Years and Provide Insight Into the Best Ways to Prepare
By: Information Security Forum

NEW YORK - April 10, 2014 - PRLog -- According to the Information Security Forum (http://www.securityforum.org) (ISF), a global, independent information security body considered the world's leading authority on cyber security and information risk management, revelations that governments and their agencies have been spying on citizens in the name of national security have undermined a core principle of operating in cyberspace – trust. Over time, a breakdown of trust will result in organizations no longer being able to take for granted that governments will look out for citizens’ best interests, that security solutions will deliver what is promised, and that their people will help navigate a way through.

Cyberspace has quickly become the prime mechanism for conducting business in today’s global economy and many CEOs are ramping up their demands to take even greater advantage moving forward. But, cyberspace also plays a key role in the socio-cultural lives of staff, customers and suppliers. So if revelations about how governments have been surrendering commercial and personal privacy in the name of national security has left trust badly shaken, how will things look two years from now? How will new threats hurtling over the horizon complicate matters even further? Just what will organizations be able to rely on and, most importantly, are they powerless or can they do something now to prepare themselves?

During this webcast, Steve Durbin, Global Vice President of the ISF, will highlight the key threats outlined by the ISF in their latest report, Threat Horizon 2016 (https://www.securityforum.org/research/), and provide advice on the best ways of handling them. Please register via this link (https://www.brighttalk.com/webcast/9923/96437) for the free webcast which takes place on Tuesday, April 15 at 9 a.m. (ET). A recording will be available following the conclusion of the event.
